col-add-whi-tro-pan-yelx1
Pansy (Viola x wittrockiana) – Ready Planted Yellow Bedding Trough (3 Plants in a White Tin Trough)

Yellow pansies are one of the cheeriest ways to bring colour to a doorstep, patio or windowsill, and this ready planted white tin trough holds 3 of them, growing together and ready to display as soon as it arrives.

The garden pansy (Viola x wittrockiana) is a compact, mounding plant with velvety yellow blooms and mid-green, oval to heart-shaped leaves. The rustic white tin trough with its natural moss finish gives the display a timeless cottage-garden feel, and it makes a lovely gift or a simple way to refresh an outdoor space.

The 3 pansies arrive planted in the trough, so no planting or preparation is needed. Stand it somewhere in full sun or partial shade, such as a doorstep, porch or patio table. Pansies flower best in cool weather and will keep going through autumn, winter and spring in mild spells.

Keep the compost evenly moist without letting it become waterlogged, and feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every two to three weeks. Remove spent flowers regularly to prolong flowering. As these are living plants, the stage of bloom may vary slightly with the season.

Cultural Information

Common Name: Pansy, Garden Pansy

Botanical Name: Viola x wittrockiana

Fully Grown Height and Spread: Approx. 15-23cm tall and 15-30cm wide (variety dependent)

Growth Habit: Compact, mounding, low-growing bedding plant

Perfect For: Containers, window boxes, borders and seasonal displays

Foliage: Mid-green, oval to heart-shaped leaves with a slightly wavy margin

Flowering Time: Autumn through to spring

Flower Colour: Yellow

Planting Position: Full sun to partial shade

Soil Type: Moist, fertile, well-drained soil or quality potting compost

Hardiness: Fully hardy, tolerates frost

Maintenance: Water evenly, feed every 2-3 weeks and deadhead regularly

Seasonal Interest: Autumn, winter and spring

Type: Cool-season bedding plant

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0646/2455/8300/files/1_881a70d3-16b4-4e4d-bc3f-287c733bd134.png?v=1793658959
