About These Terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of the Verdant Living website (www.verdant-living.co.uk) and any purchases you make from us. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them before purchasing.
Verdant Living is a trading name. References to 'we', 'us' or 'our' throughout these terms refer to Verdant Living.
Products & Descriptions
We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images and prices on our website are accurate. Because we sell live plants, there may be natural variation in colour, size and form between what is shown online and what you receive. This is normal and not grounds for a return.
All plants are supplied garden-ready, without pots, and are grown in our British nursery. Sizes described (e.g. 'Large Plants') refer to the plant's maturity and root development at the time of dispatch.
Pricing & Payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is free on all orders within the United Kingdom.
We accept payment via the methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken at the time of placing your order. If we are unable to fulfil any part of your order after payment has been taken, we will issue a full refund for the affected items.
Orders & Availability
Placing an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order at any time, for example if a product is out of stock, if there is a pricing error, or if we suspect fraud. In such cases, you will be refunded in full.
Where an item is temporarily out of stock, we may contact you to offer a substitute variety of equal or greater value. You are under no obligation to accept a substitution.
Delivery
We offer free delivery on all orders within the United Kingdom. All deliveries are shipped on a next-day courier service.
- Orders placed Monday to Thursday are packed the following day and dispatched within 24 hours. For example, an order placed on Monday will typically be delivered by Wednesday.
- Orders placed Friday to Sunday are packed and dispatched on Monday. We do not ship on Saturdays or Sundays.
Delivery timescales are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays may occasionally occur due to weather, courier issues or other circumstances beyond our control. We will contact you if a significant delay is expected.
Risk & Ownership
Risk passes to you upon delivery. Ownership of the goods passes to you when we receive full payment.
Returns & Refunds
Our full returns policy is available on our Returns Policy page. In summary: damaged or dead-on-arrival plants are replaced or refunded within 48 hours of you reporting the issue. We do not accept change-of-mind returns on live plants. Non-plant items may be returned unused within 14 days.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos and design, is owned by Verdant Living or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content from this website without our written permission.
Limitation of Liability
We will always do our best to provide healthy, high-quality plants. However, we cannot guarantee the long-term survival or growth of any plant once it has left our care. Factors such as planting conditions, weather, soil quality and ongoing care are outside our control.
Our total liability to you in respect of any order shall not exceed the total amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website at the time of your order is the version that applies to that transaction.
