Bidens 'Gold Strike' – Trailing Summer Bedding (Set of 3 or 6)

Bidens 'Gold Strike' is a trailing summer bedding plant with bright golden-yellow, slightly double daisy flowers that tumble over the edges of baskets and pots.

The flowers sit against a backdrop of dark green, finely divided foliage and keep glowing from the height of summer into the crisp days of autumn. Nectar-rich blooms bring in bees and butterflies. Its cascading habit makes it a natural for hanging baskets, window boxes and patio containers, where the stems spill over the rim, and it will also spread to cover the ground at the front of a sunny bed.

Give it full sun and a well-drained, fertile soil. Once established it copes with dry spells, though regular watering and a fortnightly liquid feed keep it flowering hard. It grows fast, needs little attention and largely cleans up after itself, so deadheading is optional. Because it grows fast it soon fills a basket or trough and mixes well with other trailing summer plants. It is not hardy: plant out after the last frost and treat it as a summer plant.

Supplied as three or six well-established plants in 10.5cm pots, ready to plant into their final position.
