Petunia Night Sky carries deep purple to blue flowers speckled all over with white, like a star filled sky in a pot.
The speckling is the whole point of this one, and it shifts with the weather. Cool spells bring out more and bolder white spots, warm spells reduce them, so no two flushes look quite the same. It is an annual, flowering hard through one season rather than coming back, and it looks its best where you can see the flowers close up: a patio pot, a table top container or a window box.
Plants are supplied grown on in a 1 litre pot, so they are well rooted and ready to plant rather than starting from a plug. Give them full sun and a spot out of drying wind, in fertile, free draining compost. Water regularly, feed through the season and pinch out the spent flowers to keep the display going. Petunias are not hardy in the slightest, so wait until the last frosts have passed before planting out and expect the display to finish with the first cold nights of autumn.
