Bellis, the double daisy, brightens the dullest months with a carpet of cheerful, tightly petalled blooms in rose pink.

These are neat rosettes of lush, deep green foliage topped with an abundance of pompom-like flowers, low growing at 10 to 20cm tall and 15 to 25cm across. Planted in autumn, they flower from late winter right through spring and into summer, and may bloom again in autumn. They lift containers, baskets and borders alike, and are perfect for filling patio pots, edging pathways or making a seasonal feature bed. The double forms carry little nectar, so they are grown for colour rather than for bees.

Fully hardy across Britain and easy to grow, Bellis thrives in full sun or partial shade in any reasonable soil. They are true perennials, often grown as biennials for one season of spring colour, and need almost no looking after beyond removing spent flowers.

Each plant arrives fresh and well rooted in a 10.5cm pot, grown peat-free at our Yorkshire nursery, and settles quickly after planting for an almost instant burst of colour.
