The bedding geranium everybody knows, flowering without a break from late spring until the first frost.

Sunflair Linda Pink is the soft one, trailing gently with candy pink flowers. All the varieties in this range form free branching, trailing plants that spill naturally over the edge, around 20 to 30cm tall with trails of 60 to 100cm, so a basket or a window box fills out and keeps flowering from late spring through to autumn.

Give it full sun and a fertile, free draining compost, water regularly in warm weather and feed weekly while it is growing. It copes with dry spells better than most summer bedding once established, and it stands up to wind and salt, so it works in a coastal garden as well as a town patio.

It is not hardy. Frost kills it outright, so lift the plants and keep them frost free over winter, or start again with fresh plants in spring.

Supplied as three or six large, well rooted plants in 10.5cm pots, grown peat free at our Yorkshire nursery, so they settle quickly and flower early.
