Geranium Toscana Mylena is an upright zonal geranium grown for months of bold crimson red flower clusters over dense, dark green leaves.

The Toscana series makes neat, bushy, well branched plants with thick fleshy stems, and it flowers steadily from late spring right through to autumn. Plants stay compact enough for a window box yet carry enough flower to hold their own in a bedding scheme or at the front of a border.

Each plant arrives as a large, well established 10.5cm rootball, grown in peat free compost at a nursery in Yorkshire, so it settles in quickly and flowers sooner than a plug or a bare root bedding plant. Give it a sunny spot, or light shade, in fertile free draining soil or container compost. Water regularly in hot weather, feed while it is growing, and take the spent flower heads off to keep new buds coming. Geraniums are not hardy, so plant out once the frosts have passed and either lift the plants into a frost free place for the winter or treat them as a summer display.
