Bellis 'Habanera White' is a double English daisy with large, fluffy, quilled pure white flowers from spring into early summer, fully hardy and ideal for edging and pots.
The Habanera series carries some of the largest flowers in the Bellis family: fully double, pincushion blooms with long quilled petals in a pure white. Plants stay compact and uniform, around 15cm tall and 15 to 20cm wide, forming dense low mounds of fresh green leaves. The look is bold but traditional, at home in spring bedding schemes, cottage gardens and formal planting alike.
Use it to edge a path, fill a rockery pocket, plant in a mass for a carpet of spring colour, or combine it in containers and window boxes with bulbs and other cool-season bedding. It is fully hardy right across Britain and is normally planted in autumn to flower through spring, in full sun or partial shade in a moist, well-drained soil. It needs little looking after: water in dry spells, feed occasionally, and deadhead now and then to keep it tidy and extend the display into early summer.
Supplied as three or six well-established, garden-ready plants in 1 litre pots, so they settle quickly with little check to growth.
