A silvery pewter fern with deep burgundy veins, one of the most ornamental plants you can put in shade.
'Pewter Lace' is a compact, clump forming deciduous fern for the dappled light under trees and shrubs, or any cool sheltered spot where other plants sulk. The arching fronds unfurl in late spring and the colour deepens as the season goes on, giving months of interest through to autumn.
Each plant arrives as an established 1 litre root ball, ready to go straight into a border, a woodland planting or a pot. It dies back completely over winter and returns in spring.
