A large flowered pansy that keeps going through frost and dull weather, holding its colour from autumn right through to spring.
The Cats series is the whiskered one. Each golden yellow bloom carries dark markings radiating from the centre, which read as a cat's face across a planting. Plants make a compact, bushy mound around 15 to 25cm tall and 20 to 30cm across, and flower freely through spring and autumn, carrying on through mild winters.
Give it a place in full sun or light partial shade in moist, well drained soil and it settles quickly. It is fully hardy, and the winter flowering pansies sit out frost and snow then carry on flowering when the weather lifts. Deadhead the spent blooms and the display keeps going for months. Bees and other early pollinators work the flowers on mild days.
Supplied as three or six established plants in 1 litre root balls, ready to plant straight out into beds, borders, containers, window boxes or baskets.
