Planting and Care:

Plant in a sheltered spot in partial to full shade, in moist but well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Water regularly during dry spells, especially in the first growing season while the plant establishes. A mulch of compost or bark around the base in spring helps to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Divide congested clumps every few years in early spring to maintain vigour.
