Digitalis 'Dalmatian White' (Foxglove) – Hardy Perennial (2L Pot)

The Dalmatian foxgloves are the quick ones: they flower in their first year from a compact plant, rather than making you wait until year two.

This is the White selection. Tubular bells sit densely up an upright stem from late spring into early summer, above soft green leaves, reaching about 70 to 100cm with a spread of 40 to 50cm. The flowers are full of nectar and bees work them steadily, and they cut well for the house.

Plant in partial shade or in sun where the soil stays moist, in a cottage border, along a woodland edge or through a pollinator planting. Cut the spent spikes off for a second flush, or leave them to seed around. Every part of a foxglove is highly poisonous, so choose where you plant it with care. It arrives as an established plant in a 2L pot, ready to go straight out.
