Fuchsia 'Fuchsita Red & Lavender' – Upright Bedding Fuchsia (2L Pot)

An upright fuchsia hung with red and lavender bell flowers from late spring until the first frosts.

The flowers dangle from slender stems above neat green leaves, red on the outer sepals and lavender within, and they keep coming for months rather than weeks. The plant is bushy and upright rather than trailing, reaching around 30 to 45cm each way, which suits a patio pot, a window box, the front of a border or a raised hanging display where the flowers can be looked into.

Fuchsias come in two sorts and it matters which you have. This is one of the tender bedding kinds, grown as summer colour, so plant it out only once the frosts have passed and lift or replace it at the end of the season unless you can keep it frost free over winter. Give it full sun or light shade in soil or compost that stays moist without being wet. Flowers drop in hot, dry spells, so water in warm weather and it will keep going. Single flowered fuchsias like this one are far better for bees than the big doubles.

Supplied in a 2 litre pot, well rooted and ready to plant out or pot on. Deadhead as the flowers go over and pinch out the young shoot tips to build a bushier plant and a longer show.
