Hosta 'Patriot' (Plantain Lily) – Hardy Shade Perennial (2L Pot)

Hosta 'Patriot' is a hardy foliage perennial that brings colour and shape to shaded borders where little else performs.

Hostas form graceful clumps of large, sculptural leaves, and this range runs from 25 to 90cm tall and 45 to 120cm across depending on the variety. Tall midsummer flower spikes carry lavender or white blooms above the foliage, and bees and butterflies work them freely.

Supplied as a healthy, fully established plant in a 2 litre pot, grown in peat free compost at our Yorkshire nursery. Larger and further on than a plug, it settles quickly into beds, borders and big containers. Keep the soil moist, feed lightly in spring, and protect the new shoots from slugs and snails.
