Salvia East Friesland – Hardy Perennial Plant

Salvia nemorosa 'East Friesland' (also known as 'Ostfriesland') is a compact, clump-forming perennial prized for its striking spikes of deep violet-purple flowers. A recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, this reliable variety produces dense, upright flower spikes from early summer through to autumn, creating a bold display in any garden setting. The flowers are rich in nectar and pollen, making them a magnet for bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators.

The neat, bushy habit and aromatic mid-green foliage make East Friesland an excellent choice for sunny borders, cottage gardens, gravel gardens and containers. Deadheading after the first flush of flowers can encourage a second wave of blooms later in the season.
