Coreopsis 'Solar Jewel' (Tickseed) – Hardy Perennial (3L Pot)

Coreopsis 'Solar Jewel' is a repeat flowering tickseed, blooming from summer through to autumn.

The flowers come again and again above a compact mound around 30 to 40cm tall and wide, which suits the front of a border, a rockery, a balcony pot or a patio container.

Grow it in full sun in free draining soil. It is hardy through a normal winter here but rots in wet ground, so drainage matters more than feeding. Once settled it copes with dry spells and asks for little beyond regular deadheading to keep the flowers coming, in a border, a gravel scheme or a patio pot. Bees and butterflies work it constantly and the stems cut well. Coreopsis grandiflora is short lived and often behaves like an annual, so divide the clump every couple of years to keep it going.

Supplied as an established plant in a 19cm, 3 litre pot, ready to plant straight out.
