An evergreen photinia whose new leaves come pink and red tipped against deep glossy green.

'Pink Crispy' is bushy and upright at around 2 to 3m tall by 1.5 to 2m across, which is manageable enough for a smaller garden that still wants a colourful evergreen screen. It works as a privacy or boundary hedge, as a specimen in a border, or in a large container on a patio, and it puts on 30 to 60cm of growth a year in good conditions.

It is fully hardy and wind resistant, and it takes most soils including clay as long as they drain. Once settled it copes reasonably well with dry spells. A light trim in late spring and again in summer brings repeated flushes of bright new growth, which is what keeps the plant looking fresh. Small white flowers open in late spring. Supplied as a well rooted 3L plant, ready for a hedge line, a border or a pot.
