Dianthus 'Sugar Raspberry' (Cottage Pink) – Fragrant Hardy Perennial (5L Pot)

Dianthus 'Sugar Raspberry' is a cottage garden pink with sweetly scented raspberry pink flowers and prettily fringed petals.

The blooms are held just above a low mound of narrow, silvery blue-green leaves that stay on the plant through the winter, so there is something to look at even out of flower. It flowers through June, July and August, and the stems are good for cutting.

Give it full sun and soil that drains freely. It suits the front of a border, a rockery, a gravel garden, a path edge or a patio pot, and once settled it copes with dry spells and with salt laden air near the coast. Deadhead as the flowers go over and trim it lightly once flowering finishes. It arrives as an established plant in a 5L pot, ready to plant straight out.
