Delivery details

Polyanthus 'Piano Yellow' brings bold, rich yellow flowers to the garden from late winter into spring, on compact, tidy plants that suit borders, containers and baskets.

The Piano Series is valued for its uniform growth, weather tolerance and long flowering season. The flowers have a classic primrose-like look and the bright green, crinkled leaves form a neat rosette. This is a fully hardy plant that copes well with cool, damp British weather, and it is easy for gardeners of any experience.

You receive 12 plants, growing one to a cell in two 6-cell trays, ready to plant straight out into a border edge, patio container, window box or hanging basket. Give them moist, well-drained, fertile soil in sun or partial shade. Deadhead spent blooms regularly to prolong flowering. Polyanthus is usually grown as a biennial, planted in autumn for winter and spring colour, though it is perennial and will often return the following year.

Like all primulas, polyanthus can cause stomach upset if eaten and skin irritation in some people, so wash your hands after handling.
