Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) – Trailing Indoor Houseplant (12cm Pot)

The Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) is one of the most popular and easy-care houseplants around, with graceful, arching green and white striped foliage and trailing stems that bring life and freshness to any indoor space.

It tolerates a wide range of indoor conditions, from a bright spot out of direct sun to a shadier corner, and needs very little attention to thrive. Its trailing habit makes it a lovely choice for a hanging basket or a shelf where the stems can cascade, and with good care it produces small plantlets, often called spider plant babies, which are easy to propagate into new plants.

Cats are sometimes drawn to chewing the dangling plantlets, and eating a large amount can cause a mild upset stomach, so it is worth keeping that in mind if you share your home with a curious cat.

It arrives as an established plant in a 1 litre, 12cm nursery pot, ready to display as it is or to slip into a decorative cover pot of your choice.
