Peperomia (Radiator Plant) – Variegated Evergreen Houseplant (12cm Pot)

The Peperomia obtusifolia 'Variegata', better known as the Radiator Plant or Baby Rubber Plant, is a compact houseplant grown for its glossy leaves, each one patterned in cream and green.

It is one of the easiest houseplants to keep, forming a neat, bushy, upright plant that copes well with a wide range of indoor light levels, from a bright windowsill to a shadier desk or office corner. It needs very little watering to stay healthy, which makes it a good choice for anyone new to houseplants.

It arrives in a 1 litre, 12cm pot, ready to stand on a windowsill, desk, or in a living room, bedroom, bathroom or kitchen. Give it bright, indirect light where possible and keep it out of direct, harsh sun, which can scorch the variegated leaves.

Let the compost dry out partly between waterings, since overwatering is the most common way to lose one, and keep it away from cold draughts. Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser once a month through spring and summer.
