Bacopa 'Baja White' is a trailing summer plant that covers itself in hundreds of small pure white flowers from early spring until autumn.

Still widely sold as Sutera cordata, it makes a mound of fresh green leaves with stems that spill over the edge of a basket or pot in a soft waterfall of foliage and bloom. 'Baja White' has pure white, star-shaped flowers with a subtle yellow centre, on a robust and very free-flowering plant. The flowers keep coming without a pause for the whole season, so it earns its place at the front of mixed containers, in hanging baskets and along the edge of beds.

Plant it in full sun or partial shade in soil that stays moist. Bacopa will drop its flowers and sulk if it dries out even once, so water steadily and never let the compost dry through. It is not hardy: it is grown as a summer plant and finished off by the first frosts.

Supplied as 3 or 6 established plants in 10.5cm pots, ready to plant into baskets, containers and beds once the frosts are over.
