This set pairs two foliage begonias from the Spacestars range, 'Avior' with dark green folded leaves and 'Maia' with olive-green leaves veined in red.
The Spacestars range is a group of unusual foliage begonias, rare and out of the ordinary, sold for the living room or kitchen as much as the garden. 'Avior' has eye-catching dark green leaves that fold down at the edge, while 'Maia' has olive to grey-green leaves marked with striking red veins. Indoors it wants bright but indirect light, out of the midday sun; a spot near an east or north facing window suits it well, and in the frost-free months it can stand outside in a sheltered, shaded place.
These foliage begonias are houseplants at heart and must stay indoors through the cold months; none go outside until the frosts are over, and they come back in before the autumn chill. Keep the compost lightly moist and never waterlogged. Begonias are harmful if eaten.
Supplied as 6 large, established plants in 1L pots, 3 of 'Avior' and 3 of 'Maia', packed in a gift box direct from the British nursery.
