Calibrachoa 'Cabaret Pure Yellow' (million bells) is a compact trailing plant smothered in small clear yellow trumpet flowers from late spring to autumn.
Often sold as a mini petunia, calibrachoa carries dense clusters of small trumpet-shaped blooms that all but hide the fresh green foliage. This is the clear yellow form. Cabaret types mound and spill rather than cascading in long strands, trailing 30 to 40cm over the edge of a basket or pot without becoming untidy.
Use it in hanging baskets, window boxes, patio containers and mixed displays, or at the front of a summer bed. A mass of one colour is striking on its own, and it mixes just as well with other trailing plants for a full, flowing display. It wants full sun and a well-drained, fertile soil, and needs little care beyond watering and an occasional feed to keep flowering non-stop. It is not hardy, so plant out after the last frost and treat it as a summer plant.
Supplied as three or six large, well-established plants in 10.5cm pots, grown peat-free at our Yorkshire nursery. Stronger than plug plants, they root quickly and start flowering with little delay.
