A hand picked mix of hostas, chosen by the grower, for shaded borders that need texture rather than more flowers.

The varieties are selected on the nursery, so the set arrives with a range of leaf shapes and colours: deep greens, cool blue greens, gold and variegated forms with cream or white margins. Each one builds a dense mounded clump between 30 and 90cm tall and 30 to 120cm across, and in summer slender spikes of bell shaped white to lavender flowers rise above the leaves and bring in the bees.

Supplied as well established plants in 1 litre pots, ready to go straight into moisture retentive ground or a container of peat free compost. Keep them damp through dry spells, feed lightly in spring, and they will come back larger every year. They sit well beside ferns, heucheras and astilbes.
