Primula 'Little Queen Lime' is a compact garden primula from the Little Queen series, flowering freely in soft lime green above neat rosettes of fresh green leaves.

These are the compact Little Queen types rather than drumstick or bog primulas, so they are grown for pots and the front of a border. Each plant makes a tidy clump 15 to 20cm tall and 20 to 25cm across, holding its flowers just above semi evergreen foliage. Give it humus rich soil that stays moist but drains, in partial shade or in sun with some shelter from the strongest midday light, and it will flower for weeks.

Fully hardy, it comes back year after year and slowly forms larger clumps that can be divided every two or three years. Watch for vine weevil grubs if you grow it in containers. Supplied as well established 1L rootballs, ready to plant out or pot on. The early flowers are a useful nectar source for bees emerging in spring. All primulas can cause stomach upset if eaten and skin irritation on handling.
