Stachys byzantina, commonly known as Lamb's Ear, is a beautifully textured hardy perennial prized for its striking silvery-grey, soft and woolly foliage. In summer, upright flower spikes emerge bearing small pinkish-purple blooms that are attractive to pollinators.

Planting and Care:

Plant in a sunny to partially shaded position in well-drained soil. Stachys byzantina is highly tolerant of dry conditions once established and requires very little ongoing care. Remove spent flower spikes after blooming to encourage fresh foliage growth. Divide clumps every few years to maintain vigour and prevent overcrowding. Avoid heavy, waterlogged soils as this can cause the woolly foliage to rot.
