Achillea 'Cloth of Gold' is a tall yarrow with dense flat heads of deep golden yellow flowers.
The flat topped heads are carried from June to September on upright stems above soft, feathery grey green foliage, reaching around 90 to 120cm tall and 45 to 60cm across.
Plant it in an open, sunny position in free draining soil. It takes poor dry ground and coastal wind once settled, but not waterlogged winter clay. Bees and butterflies work it hard, and the heads cut well fresh or dried for indoor arrangements. Deadhead through the season, and divide the clump every two or three years to keep it vigorous.
Supplied as three or six plants, each in a 1 litre pot with an established root ball, ready for a border or a generous container.
