Geranium Summer Twist Red White (Pelargonium) – Zonal Summer Bedding (21cm Pot)

Geranium Summer Twist Red White is a zonal geranium carrying striped red and white flowers right through the summer.

The petals are marked in two tones, which gives the flower heads a candy striped look you do not get from a plain red bedding geranium. Plants are bushy, upright and compact, with mid green rounded leaves marked with a darker zone, and they flower from late spring into autumn. It suits a patio pot, a window box, a hanging basket or a bedding block in a sunny bed.

This one is supplied as an established plant in a 21cm pot, so it is ready to stand out on the patio straight away rather than waiting to fill out. Plant it in well drained, fertile compost or soil in full sun or light shade, water regularly and let the surface dry slightly between waterings rather than keeping it wet, and feed it every couple of weeks while it is flowering. Take off the spent heads to keep new buds forming. Geraniums are not hardy, so move it somewhere bright and frost free before the first frosts if you want to keep it for another year.
