Petunia Bee's Knees – Golden Yellow Summer Bedding (21cm Pot)

Petunia Bee's Knees is a bright golden yellow bedding petunia, one of the few petunias that gives a true yellow, and it flowers from late spring until the first frost.

The flowers are warm golden yellow trumpets carried in quantity over a neat, mounding plant that spreads gently rather than trailing hard. The colour holds well through the season instead of bleaching out, which is what makes this variety worth growing where a yellow is hard to find. It works at ground level in a bedding scheme and just as well raised up in a patio container, a window box or a hanging basket. The flowers attract bees and butterflies.

It is supplied as an established plant in a 21cm pot, ready to plant straight out. Give it a warm, sheltered spot in full sun, in fertile, well drained soil or a good peat free compost. Water regularly, especially in warm spells, feed every week or two while it is flowering and take off the spent blooms to keep new ones coming. A little shelter from heavy rain helps keep the flowers looking their best. Petunias are not hardy, so plant out only once the last frosts have passed.
