Anemone 'Fantasy Ariel' – Compact Japanese Anemone (2L Pot)

Anemone 'Fantasy Ariel' is a compact Japanese anemone with deep magenta pink flowers from midsummer to autumn.

Open, saucer shaped flowers with striking central stamens are held on slender upright stems above mounded, deeply lobed green leaves. It stays around 45 to 50cm tall and wide, which is small enough for the front of a border, a patio pot or a courtyard.

Plant in sun or partial shade in soil that stays moist but drains freely. It flowers on and on from midsummer into autumn, when it is one of the few late nectar sources for bees and butterflies, and the stems cut well. Japanese anemones spread strongly at the root once settled, so give them room or divide every few years. Anemone is harmful if eaten and the sap can irritate skin.
