Anemone 'Fantasy Jasmine' is a compact Japanese anemone with bright rosy-pink, golden-centred flowers from midsummer into autumn.

The flowers are open and saucer-shaped, five-petalled, rosy pink with a golden-yellow centre, carried on slender upright stems above a mound of deeply lobed green foliage. They keep coming from midsummer through autumn, when many earlier perennials have finished, and bees, butterflies and other insects use them as a late nectar source. At around 45 to 50 cm tall and wide it is far more compact than the old Japanese anemones, so it fits the front of a border, a container or a small garden.

Plant it in sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. It is a hardy herbaceous perennial that dies back in winter and returns each spring. Like all Japanese anemones it will spread once settled, so give it room or lift the edges of the clump every few years. Maintenance is low: cut the old stems down in late winter. Harmful if eaten, and the sap can irritate skin.

Supplied as one well-established plant in a 2 litre pot, grown in peat-free compost, ready to plant.
