Arabis caucasica 'Aubris White' is a low, mat-forming rock cress that covers itself in clusters of small pure white flowers each spring.
It makes a dense carpet of soft grey-green evergreen foliage that looks good all year, spilling gently over walls, edges and the sides of troughs. The flowers appear from March to May, and bees and other pollinators visit them. The spreading habit helps keep weeds down.
Plant it in full sun for the best show, or in light shade for part of the day. It wants well-drained soil and copes with poor, sandy or rocky ground; it is a natural for gaps between paving, dry stone walls, alpine troughs, raised beds, gravel gardens and the front of a border, and it grows well in a container. Trim lightly after flowering to keep it neat and encourage fresh foliage. Once established it is drought tolerant and needs very little care. Fully hardy.
