Digitalis 'Hanabee Deep Rose' (Foxglove) – Compact Perennial (2L Pot)

Digitalis 'Hanabee Deep Rose' is a short, bushy foxglove bred to come back every year, unlike the biennial sorts that flower once and are gone.

The spikes are packed with deep rose pink bells and they face outwards rather than hanging down, which makes it easy for bees to get in and easy for you to see the markings. It stays around 40 to 50cm tall and 30 to 40cm wide, so it works at the front of a border or in a pot where a full height foxglove would look ungainly.

Give it partial shade or sun in moist, well drained soil with organic matter worked in. Water it through its first season, deadhead the spent spikes to push out a second flush, and mulch around the crown in autumn. Every part of a foxglove is highly poisonous, so choose where you plant it with care. It arrives as an established plant in a 2L pot, ready for a border or a container.
