Freesia 'Delta River' – Fragrant Summer Perennial (2L Pot)

Freesia 'Delta River' brings the classic freesia scent to a summer border or a patio pot.

The flowers open along wiry stems above narrow, sword shaped leaves, and they are as good in a vase as they are in the garden. One stem cut and brought indoors will scent a room. Delta River is one of the garden freesias bred for growing outside rather than under glass.

Give it a warm, sheltered spot in full sun or light shade, in fertile soil that drains freely, or grow it in a pot on the patio where you can manage the drainage and move it under cover. It is not a hardy plant. In colder gardens mulch the corms in autumn, or lift them and store them dry and frost free until spring. It arrives as an established plant in a 2L pot.
