Slender, finger like bright green leaves with a fine, feathery texture, and scented white flowers in late spring.

Choisya x dewitteana 'Greenfingers' is the narrow leaved green form, and the fine foliage gives it a lightness that the broad leaved choisyas do not have. Clusters of sweetly scented, star shaped white flowers open from late spring into early summer, often with a second flush in autumn, and bees and butterflies work them. It makes a compact, bushy shrub of about 1.2m to 1.5m tall and wide.

Grow it in full sun or partial shade in well drained soil, in a border, an informal hedge or a large pot. It is hardy in most of Britain, though cold drying winds can scorch the leaves, so give it some shelter. Deer and rabbits tend to leave it alone. A light trim after flowering keeps the shape and can bring on a second flush of flower.
