Dahlia 'Maggiore Deep Rose' – Summer Flowering Perennial (3L Pot)

Dahlia 'Maggiore Deep Rose' is a patio dahlia grown for fully double, deep rose pink blooms, flowering from midsummer through to the first frosts.

Plants make a compact clump around 50cm to 70cm tall and 40cm to 50cm across, with fully double, deep rose pink blooms with beautifully layered petals on strong stems. It looks as good cut for a vase as it does in the ground, and the flowers draw bees and butterflies right through the season.

Give it a sunny, sheltered spot in fertile soil that stays moist but drains freely, and water regularly through the growing season, especially in a container. Feed fortnightly with a high potash liquid feed once buds form, and deadhead regularly. It is not fully hardy, so lift the tubers once frost has blackened the top growth and store them somewhere cool and frost free, or mulch deeply where winters are mild. Supplied as one established plant in a 3L pot, grown in peat free compost at our Yorkshire nursery. All parts may cause severe discomfort if eaten and the sap can irritate skin.
