Dahlia 'Maggiore Fun Pomegranate' – Summer Flowering Perennial (3L Pot)

Dahlia 'Maggiore Fun Pomegranate' is a patio dahlia grown for double red and pink bicolour flowers, flowering from midsummer through to the first frosts.

Plants make a bushy clump around 50cm to 70cm tall and 40cm to 50cm across, with double flowers in a bicolour of vibrant red and pink on strong stems. Plant it out from late spring once the last frost has passed, spacing plants 45cm to 60cm apart, and it will flower from midsummer well into autumn.

Give it a sunny, sheltered spot in fertile soil that stays moist but drains freely, and water regularly through the growing season, especially in a container. Deadhead regularly and feed fortnightly with a high potash feed through the growing season. It is not fully hardy, so lift the tubers once frost has blackened the top growth and store them somewhere cool and frost free, or mulch deeply where winters are mild. Supplied as one established plant in a 3L pot, grown in peat free compost at our Yorkshire nursery. All parts may cause severe discomfort if eaten and the sap can irritate skin.
