Dahlia 'Maggiore Fun Rose Bicolour' – Summer Flowering Perennial (3L Pot)

Dahlia 'Maggiore Fun Rose Bicolour' is a patio dahlia grown for fully double pink and white blooms, flowering from midsummer through to the first frosts.

Plants make a compact clump around 40cm to 50cm tall and 30cm to 40cm across, with fully double, decorative blooms in pink and white bicolour on strong stems. The Maggiore series is bred for garden performance, so the neat bushy habit needs little or no staking, and the flowers cut well for the house.

Give it a sunny, sheltered spot in fertile soil that stays moist but drains freely, and water regularly through the growing season, especially in a container. Feed fortnightly with a high potash liquid feed once buds form, and deadhead regularly. It is not fully hardy, so lift the tubers once frost has blackened the top growth and store them somewhere cool and frost free, or mulch deeply where winters are mild. Supplied as one established plant in a 3L pot, grown in peat free compost at our Yorkshire nursery. All parts may cause severe discomfort if eaten and the sap can irritate skin.
