Carex 'Feather Falls' is a large evergreen sedge whose long, arching, cascading leaves bring structure and movement to borders and containers all year.

It forms a fountain of narrow blades 30 to 60cm tall and wide, flowing over the edge of a pot or softening hard landscaping. 'Feather Falls' is one of the variegated cascading sedges, its foliage in cream and green tones, and it keeps its colour through the seasons rather than dying back for winter. In a tall container it reads almost like a green waterfall, and in the border it makes a calm foil for bolder flowering plants.

Plant it in sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil, and keep it evenly watered while it settles in. It is fully hardy across Britain and asks for very little: trim or comb through in spring to remove tired leaves. Use it in borders, patio containers, courtyard gardens, ground cover and contemporary planting schemes, on its own or repeated along a path for rhythm.

Supplied as a large, well-established plant in a 23cm (5L) pot, ready to make an immediate impact.
