Senetti Magenta Bicolour is a Pericallis bred by Suntory for the Senetti series, and it carries an extraordinary weight of daisy flowers on a compact plant.

The blooms are magenta with a white centre, held above broad, lobed green leaves on a neat mounded plant around 30 to 50cm tall and wide. It flowers best while the weather is still cool, which makes it one of the first things to give real colour in a border, a patio pot or a window box. Cutting the plant back after the first flush will bring on a second.

It arrives established and ready to go straight out, supplied in a generous 6.5 litre root ball. Senetti is not hardy. It shrugs off a light chill but a real frost will kill it, so give it a sheltered spot and keep some fleece to hand in a cold spring. Cineraria relatives are treated as toxic, so keep this one where it will not be eaten by children or animals.
