Delivery detailsDouble English daisies (Bellis perennis) give cheerful, long-lasting red colour through the cooler months, which makes them a favourite for autumn and spring bedding. Speedstar Plus Carmine bears rich, deep red, fully double pompon flowers on compact plants.
The flowers sit above neat clumps of mid-green, spoon-shaped leaves and keep coming from autumn right through to late spring. The plants stay low and tidy and shrug off the weather, so they suit borders, patio containers, window boxes and hanging baskets.
You receive 18 plants growing in 2 plastic bedding trays of 9 cells, one plant to a cell, ready to plant out into their final position. Choose full sun or partial shade and a moist, well-drained soil or a good multipurpose compost, and avoid waterlogging. Bellis is fully hardy across Britain and is best planted in autumn.
Upkeep is easy. Water regularly in dry spells, deadhead faded flowers to keep the display going, and feed every two to three weeks with a balanced liquid feed while the plants are in growth.
