Delivery detailsViola 'Sorbet Pink Wing' is a hardy, compact pansy-type bedding plant with soft blush-pink flowers and a neat, wing-patterned face. It flowers over a long season from autumn through to spring, which makes it a favourite for borders, patio pots, hanging baskets and window boxes.
This is Viola cornuta in the Sorbet Pink Wing colourway, a well-loved variety with a mounding, spreading habit and fresh green, heart-shaped leaves. Violas are smaller flowered than large pansies, but they are tougher and keep going for longer. Grouped together in a container or planted in drifts along a border, the single colour gives a cohesive, co-ordinated look.
You receive 18 plants, growing in 2 plastic 9-cell trays, one plant to a cell. They are well rooted and ready to plant out. Choose a spot in full sun or partial shade with moist, well-drained, fertile soil, and space the plants about 15-20cm apart. Water them in well after planting.
Upkeep is simple. Keep the soil evenly moist in dry spells, avoid waterlogging, and remove faded flowers regularly to keep the blooms coming. A balanced liquid feed every two to three weeks while they are growing will encourage even more flowers.
