Carefully arranged in a rustic wooden barrel, the display combines a conifer for year-round structure, 2 white cyclamen (Cyclamen persicum) with delicate cool-toned blooms, 3 blue pansies, trailing silver ivy (Hedera) for texture and contrast, and a natural moss finish. Planting combinations may vary slightly depending on availability, but the cool colour theme of whites, blues and silvers is kept.

Place it by a front door, on a patio, on decking or in a sheltered garden corner, in a bright spot in partial shade and out of cold wind. Keep the compost moist but not waterlogged, and check it regularly during dry spells. Deadhead spent pansy and cyclamen flowers to keep new blooms coming.
