This pre-planted wooden barrel is a ready-made autumn and winter display in soft pastel colours, with white and blue pansies, pink cyclamen, ajuga, silver trailing ivy and a conifer, all finished with a decorative moss topping.

The pansies and cyclamen give the colour, the ajuga fills the gaps at the base, and the silver ivy (Hedera helix) spills over the rim. The conifer holds the display together with evergreen height. It suits a patio, porch, garden entrance or front door, and works well as an alternative to a hanging basket.

The plants are already growing together in the barrel and arrive in it, so there is no planting to do. Stand it in a sheltered spot in good light, out of cold wind and away from frost pockets.
