Collection: Citrus Trees

Citrus trees for a sunny patio in summer and a bright room indoors in winter, from mini lemon, calamondin and kaffir lime trees in 15cm pots to fruiting Meyer lemon and calamondin orange trees in 5 litre pots, with a choice of planter.

Citrus aren't hardy in Britain. Keep them outside from late spring, then bring them in from about October until May to a bright, frost-free place such as a conservatory, porch or cool greenhouse. A cool, bright winter suits them far better than a warm, dark room, which is what kills most of them.

Meyer lemon and calamondin are among the most forgiving, and limes are the fussiest. All are self-fertile, so a single tree will fruit. Feed with a citrus feed, and water with rainwater rather than hard tap water. Citrus is harmful to pets if eaten.

Grown peat-free in Yorkshire.
