Asiatic Lily, Orange – Summer Flowering Perennial (Set of 3 or 6)

Few flowers light up a summer border like Asiatic lilies, upright, strong stemmed and unmistakably bright.

This one flowers in orange, with trumpet shaped blooms held on stiff stems above lush green foliage, reaching roughly 60 to 90cm tall and about 30cm across. They give height and rhythm to a border, stand well in patio pots, and the sculptural stems are as good in a vase as they are in the ground.

Each plant arrives well rooted in a 1 litre peat free pot with three lilies to the pot, grown at our Yorkshire nursery. These are not bulbs or bare roots but large, garden ready plants that can go straight out. Give them sun or light shade and ground that drains freely, and the bulbs will stay in place and return the following summer. Lilies are toxic to cats. Every part of the plant, including the pollen and the water in a vase, can cause fatal kidney failure, so they should not be grown or cut for a household with a cat.
