Oriental Lily 'Gentle Romance' – Fragrant Summer Perennial (Set of 3 or 6)

Fragrant, bold and unmistakably summer, Oriental lilies from the 'Romance' series are made for scent and drama.

Large trumpet shaped blooms open in shades of white, pink, gold and crimson, each petal edged or flushed with soft gradients, and the scent is rich, sweet and floral. Stems stand 60 to 90cm tall with a spread of 30 to 40cm, upright enough to hold their own in a container, a border or a vase. Multi packs are made up as a selected mix of colours, so a set gives variety and balance rather than one flat block of colour.

Each plant arrives fresh and fully established as a 1 litre rootball, grown in peat free compost at our Yorkshire nursery and often already in bud. Plant into free draining soil or compost in sun or light shade, water while in growth, and let the stems die back on their own in autumn. Lilies are toxic to cats. Every part of the plant, including the pollen and the water in a vase, can cause fatal kidney failure, so they should not be grown or cut for a household with a cat.
