Tomato 'Cherry Falls' – Trailing Cherry Tomato (Set of 3 or 6)

Tomato 'Cherry Falls' is a trailing variety bred for hanging baskets, spilling stems of sweet cherry fruit over the sides.

Plants stand only 20 to 40cm tall with stems trailing up to 60cm, so the fruit hangs where it is easy to pick. It is a determinate type, which means no side shoots to pinch out and very little support, and it is one of the easiest tomatoes to start with. Baskets, window boxes and raised containers on a sunny patio all suit it.

Plants are grown in peat free compost at our Yorkshire nursery and arrive with well established rootballs, ready to go into their final pot or bed once all risk of frost has passed. Water evenly rather than in fits and starts, since erratic watering causes blossom end rot and split fruit, and begin a high potassium feed once the first fruits start to swell. The fruit is for eating, but the leaves and stems belong to the same family as potato and are a known risk to pets.
