Tomato 'Lizzano' – Patio Bush Tomato (Set of 3 or 6)

Tomato 'Lizzano' is a compact patio variety, bred to crop heavily on a bushy plant small enough for a pot or a basket.

This is a bushy, semi determinate type rather than a tall cordon, growing only 30 to 60cm high with a similar spread and sometimes trailing lightly over the edge of its pot. It gives steady trusses of sweet cherry sized fruit and has good disease resistance, which makes it a forgiving plant for a balcony, a window box or a raised bed.

Plants are grown in peat free compost at our Yorkshire nursery and arrive with well established rootballs, ready to go into their final pot or bed once all risk of frost has passed. Water evenly rather than in fits and starts, since erratic watering causes blossom end rot and split fruit, and begin a high potassium feed once the first fruits start to swell. The fruit is for eating, but the leaves and stems belong to the same family as potato and are a known risk to pets.
